Our material leverages the natural properties of mycelium

Mycelium offers excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, creating a comfortable living environment.

Mycelium is naturally fire-resistant, providing safety against disasters.

Using agricultural waste to produce mycelium material is a fully circular process. At the end of its lifecycle, mycelium material can return to earth as soil nourishment to further support the regeneration of nature.

Sustainability & Environmental Impact

Renewable Production:

The raw materials for mycelium growth are renewable and locally sourced, promoting sustainable practices. Our mycelium material is grown from the sawdust of processed palm waste.

Low Energy Production: The cultivation and processing of mycelium material requires significantly less energy compared to conventional materials.

Low Carbon Footprint: The production and disposal of mycelium material has a lower carbon footprint compared to traditional construction materials.

Waste Reduction: Mycelium production utilizes agricultural waste in the production process, reducing overall waste and diverting it from landfills.

Health and Safety: Mycelium material is non-toxic and VOC free due to the absence of chemical binders.

Process

MycoSphere upcycles date palm waste into high-performance mycelium materials for design and construction using the intelligence of fungi and a propitiatory technology.

Product CollectionsMycoOrigins™

Grown from place. Inspired by landscape.

For centuries, life across the Arabian Peninsula has been shaped by three defining elements: the desert, the sea, and the date palm. Together, they have influenced settlement patterns, trade routes, architecture, craftsmanship, and cultural identity throughout the region.

Each product within the collection celebrates a different aspect of the region’s natural heritage while contributing to a more circular and regenerative future for the built environment.

Frond™

‘Inspired by the enduring legacy of the date palm.’

The date palm has long been known as the “tree of life” across the Middle East and North Africa. Beyond its fruit, its leaves and fibres have traditionally been woven into shelters, baskets, furnishings, and architectural elements.

Frond™ reinterprets this legacy through a contemporary modular acoustic system. Inspired by the overlapping patterns of palm fronds and traditional weaving techniques, the design creates dynamic compositions that transform walls into tactile architectural features.

Each module is grown from 100% upcycled date palm biomass and mycelium, reflecting a modern approach to circular material production while remaining deeply connected to regional heritage.

Applications

  • Feature walls
  • Creative workplaces
  • Hospitality & retail spaces
  • Exhibition & cultural projects

Strata™

‘Inspired by the layered landscapes of desert and sea.’

The flowing contours of Strata™ evoke both wind-sculpted dunes and rolling ocean waves. Its layered geometry captures the movement of the region’s natural landscapes, creating depth, texture, and acoustic performance in a single architectural element.

At first glance, the desert and the sea appear to be opposites. Yet both are landscapes shaped by movement. Wind carves dunes across the sand just as tides and currents sculpt patterns across the water. Over time, these forces create layered formations that are constantly evolving while retaining a sense of harmony and permanence.

Strata™ translates these natural formations into an acoustic wall panel that combines visual depth with functional performance. Its layered geometry creates a play of light and shadow throughout the day, bringing warmth and natural character into interior spaces.

Grown from 100% upcycled date palm biomass and mycelium, Strata™ offers a locally produced, low-carbon alternative to conventional acoustic materials.
